Device license levels are essentially the tiers of functionality that come with specific devices connected to the AB Quantum system. Having a subscription in the app won’t change the license level of your device, and a higher-level device license does not grant full access to the separate AB Quantum™ Pro subscription. Essentially, the app adjusts to match your hardware to ensure a smooth connection.

There are several devices in our ecosystem that come with different license levels, and when connected to AB Quantum, they will unlock the corresponding features that are exclusive to your device license. Let’s take a closer look at how this works:

Elite-level devices, like the Garmin Tactix® 8 and Kestrel 5700x Elite, unlock the Elite level license in AB Quantum when connected. These devices are designed for professional-level ballistics users, providing top-tier features and functionality.

When you connect an Elite-level device to AB Quantum, the software automatically unlocks these advanced features for the user, giving you an edge in the field.

A prime example of Pro-device-license integration is seen with the Leica Geovid Pro AB+ and the Kestrel 5700X-WEZ. When connected to AB Quantum, these devices automatically unlock Pro-level functionality within AB Quantum™.

The Garmin C2, AB Spotter, AB Learn (Podcasts), and E-Dope export features are only available with an AB Quantum™ Pro subscription. A Pro-level device (like the Kestrel 5700x-WEZ) mirrors its license level in the app to ensure proper operation. It does not unlock the additional features found in the Pro subscription.

When you connect your device to AB Quantum™, it will automatically unlock the software features associated with that device’s license level. For instance, even if you’re using the free Ultralight version of AB Quantum™, connecting a device with a higher-tier license, such as an Elite-level device or a Pro-level device like the Leica Geovid Pro AB+, will unlock the features with the device’s license level.

To maintain access to these features, it’s important to reconnect your device to AB Quantum™ at least once every other week. This ensures that your license level remains active and that you continue to benefit from the tools and data that come with higher-tier licenses.

Devices like the Kestrel 5700x and Garmin Xero C2 are built, supported, and updated by their respective manufacturers. We license our Applied Ballistics software to companies for integration into their devices.

In addition to unlocking features through connected devices, AB Quantum also offers a subscription-based model for users who want access to advanced tools without requiring a specific hardware connection. These subscriptions allow users to unlock Pro and Elite-level features, providing flexibility for those who may not own a compatible device but still want the full capabilities of AB Quantum.
